I just picked up this fancy, yet simple, black & white tee from Forever 21 and got the opportunity to wear it to Sunday brunch this past weekend! I love pieces like this that hover somewhere between casual and dressy because they are so versatile and fit into any situation.

One thing I’ve started to realize as my personal style has matured, is that in many cases, less is more! While I do love a crazy arm party and centering my outfits around colorful themes, as my style has evolved with my age, simpler combinations have become more appealing due to their elegance and classic style.

How has your personal style evolved over time? Mine has definitely changed a ton - hopefully, for the good!  I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!

One of my best girlfriends loves to wear skirts no matter the season and she always refers to her collection in two separate categories: winter skirts and summer skirts. I never quite understood those two categories until I got this beautiful poofy skirt! It's absolutely perfect for winter and goes wonderfully with tights - yet, I can't imagine it going quite as well with anything in my current summer wardrobe! I am officially starting my collection of winter skirts!

My least favorite part of this outfit? Tights! Gah! If anyone knows of a pair of tights that feels like yoga pants but looks exactly like tights, boy, would I love that - If you know of any, I'd love to hear from you!

I hope you're all staying warm for these last couple of months of cold!

I will admit - half tucking my shirt in for this outfit was definitely a little bit out of my comfort zone! I can never quite figure out exactly where to tuck things or how tightly to tuck them in or how far to pull them back out! Honestly, tucking things in general tends to be slightly out of my comfort zone, but I really can't deny the fact that somehow, tucking this shirt in makes the outfit look more put together than leaving it free flowing.

Even though I'm still perfecting my tucking technique, I think this is a technique that I will definitely be using more often! Tucking in shirts really adds just a little bit more of a stylish edge to an otherwise casual outfit and I'm always on the lookout for more simple ways to dress up an outfit!

What are your thoughts on the half-tuck? Yay or nay?
