This dress is really where it all began with my polka dot obsession! I love pretty much everything about this dress – the sleeves, the skirt, and all of the polka dots! It's hard not to be happy when I'm running around the office feeling super flouncy in this dress :)
One of my favorite things about summer is that I get to wear dresses every single day! There's not a single piece of clothing that makes me as happy as a dress does. There are just so many different styles, colors, and patterns! There's pretty much a dress to match any whim I'm feeling each day! Do you love summer dresses as much as I do? My bangs are pinned up for this outfit - eek! Although it might not be apparent, this is one of the things I am most self conscious about. I have a huge forehead that screams “I need bangs!”. Plus, I usually don’t try too hard to fill in my eyebrows evenly (oops!) so it helps that one of them is usually covered up by my bangs HA. I’m trying my hardest to embrace my forehead though - bangs or not - especially since pinning them up keeps them out of my face at work!
For a really long time, I put scarves into my “winter clothes” category and didn’t even give them a second glance throughout the summer months. Nowadays, I’m trying my hardest to break those mental categories and incorporate my winter wardrobe into summer and vice versa! I have many scarves that are light and airy which makes them perfect for summer - not too warm outdoors, yet solid enough to provide some warmth when air conditioning gets too cold! What are your favorite ways to incorporate your winter wardrobe into the summer months?

I have a soft spot for this dress because it’s one of the ones I bought specifically for my college graduation! I love the pretty detailed lace sleeves and how effortlessly the skirt falls! Historically, lace has not been my best friend because I am super sensitive to anything that might itch, but this dress has a incredibly comfortable silky layer underneath all of the lace, which makes it both pretty and elegant while also keeping things comfortable - which, as we know, is my number one priority when it comes to clothes!
Another one of my favorite things about this dress is it's bright color! In the summer, my favorite colors to wear are yellow, bright coral, and pink. The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming, so why not wear the brightest colors in your closet?!
