I’ve already written about my bow obsession once but when it’s summer outside, my bow obsession really gets out of hand (in a good way!). One of the reasons I absolutely adore summer is that I feel like the entire season really matches my personality. I love colors, I love dresses, I love warm weather - everything about the season just suits me! If I’m covered in colorful bows and dresses in the winter, I feel a little out of place, so I really let loose when it comes to dressing up for summer :)
What are your favorite things to wear in the summer?
Fairy Pink
Strangely enough, I didn’t like pink as a kid! it was actually one of my least favorite colors! There was never a moment where I suddenly decided that I Iiked pink, but over the years, I’ve noticed that slowly more and more of my stuff has become pink. It started with random small things like my water bottle, my socks, nail polish - but has creeped so far into my life that my belongings are now pretty much an explosion of 1000 different shades of pink. Perfect example: My parents actually just bought me a pair of amazing headphones for my birthday in the color black because they felt it would be “more professional” for my work commute. Truthfully, I may exchange them for pink because I’m a 5 year old girl inside and pink is awesome :) Anyhoo - enough of my pink rant. Thanks for reading!
Spots on Spots
One of my favorite things about the blogging community is all of the new things I discover as both a reader of blogs and a blogger. Before getting into blogging, I had a set routine of things I liked and things I did and I really didn’t stray away from this much. After becoming addicted to blogs, however, I found that there were so many products I wanted to try, hobbies I wanted to start, and thoughts out there that inspired me! This dress is another example of a happy little thing that came out of my blogging adventures.
A couple of months ago, eshakti reached out to me and asked if I’d be interested in blogging about one of their products in exchange for a free product. I happily accepted as their dresses looked absolutely adorable and I’m always interested in trying out new things. And of course….I fell in love with their dresses - which is probably every brand manager’s ultimate dream when reaching out to a blogger. Anyhoo - long story short - this is a dress from eshakti, completely not sponsored, just me becoming obsessed with yet another beautiful dress.
I would describe my high school/college style as very colorful, tropical, and boho-y. As I’ve entered the “real world” though, I’ve found that my personal style has really started to edge more towards classic, old-school pieces. I can’t seem to get enough of bright lipsticks and polka dots on everything! While I still love a good flower-behind-the-ear + tropical dress day, my go-to has become much more simplified and classic.
How has your personal style changed over the years? I’d love to hear your thoughts! As always, thanks for reading :)
