News Flash: This is the first long sleeved dress I have ever owned in my entire life. What!? I think I've just always put dresses into a "summer" box and long sleeves into a "winter" box so a dress with long sleeves just doesn't fit into either category!
One of my favorite places to find cute pieces that don’t break the bank is Marshall’s. Not only is it much more affordable than most other stores, it also offers a ton of variety and is never as busy as a mall might be. (p.s. this is not an ad, I really just love Marshall’s that much). I always want to go shopping but get really overwhelmed by how crazy malls can get, so for me, Marshall’s offers a nice alternative. As you’ve probably guessed by now, this dress is from Marshall’s and I’m so glad I picked it up. The colors are so bright and happy it automatically lifts my mood whenever I wear it :)

Turquoise & Lace
I just picked up this pretty top at Target and couldn't resist throwing it into a post! While I've slowly weaned myself off my high school Target obsession, I still take a moment to sift through the sale clothing whenever I stop in! - And I'm always glad that I do because I stumble upon sweet little finds like this top :) This top was on sale for ~$6 and I couldn’t believe how much of a steal it was. Whenever something is on sale, I usually try it on to figure out why it’s on sale because if it’s unpopular, it’s likely that there’s an issue with fit or design of the garment. But this time, I couldn’t spot any issues with this top and I’m so happy with it! I feel that we see so much high-end fashion in the media that it makes us think that we need to buy expensive brands in order to be stylish, when in reality, you can be just as happy with a Target top :)
Where are you favorite places to find the best fashion bargains? Are you a Target fiend like I am? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Out Shopping Outfit!
This past week has been my first true week off in almost two years and I took that opportunity to revamp my wardrobe a little in preparation for my upcoming new job! While I do shop pretty regularly for new clothes, given that I’m now 23 (crazy!) I thought my wardrobe needed more of a maturity upgrade than anything else. I’ve always had a bit of a babyface and due to the fact that I love to wear dresses and bright colors, this can make me come off much younger than I actually am! Now, this isn’t a bad thing most of the time, but when it comes to being on the job and trying to get people to take me seriously in a work environment, it can be a bit counter productive!
I’m a weirdo when it comes to going on shopping trips because I really need to mentally prepare myself before I’m in the mood to actually buy any clothes. If I’m not dressed to go shopping then I get too lazy to try anything on and end up spending money on random things I don’t need instead of the clothing items that I actually need! This pink dress combo is awesome for an “out shopping” outfit because it’s super easy to whip on and off and doesn’t have too many bells and whistles I need to worry about while trying on clothes.
At my most recent shopping trip, I picked up some autumn jackets (shopping off season is the best way to get good deals!) so while they won’t be featured anytime soon, you may seem some of my newest Zara finds once autumn rolls around!
