I have been wearing this combo non-stop since I discovered that these two pieces went so well together. Every time I wear it, David makes fun of me for looking like a painter! Funnily enough, I've actually worn it to two painting events already, so maybe subconsciously I'm gathering inspiration from it? Who knows! During the colder months my go-to leg wear is either yoga pants or fleece lined leggings - both not the best when it comes to being a grown up work-appropriate office-y person, so I like to opt for longer tops to turn my legging addiction into a fashionable but work-appropriate combination!
Oh, and if you're ever looking for super fun, colorful fake flowers (because I somehow manage to kill all real plants) I would highly recommend checking out your local dollar store! Mine has tons of different flowers to choose from and I can get entire bouquets for 1/10th of the price at a craft store. Bright, happy, colorful, and super affordable?! Yes, please!

I am perpetually trying to come up with fun alliterations as my blog post titles (hopefully it's not too over the top!) because they just make me smile. It's so much more fun to say when it's an alliteration :) - but really - herringbone vests make me so happy! They make any outfit so much warmer and can pretty much go with any sweater/long sleeve shirt/button down. Anything that keeps me warm and makes my life easier is a win in my book! Plus, nothing says fall better than a good puffy vest! Recently, I've loved pairing my herringbone vest with super bright sweaters and classic plaid flannels! What are your favorite ways to wear fall vests?

It has been insanely warm for October and that makes this girl extremely happy! :) Living in a cold climate makes every day over 60 degrees feel like the BEST DAY EVER so I'm soaking up every last warm moment I can get!
For me, maxi dresses are kind of in that weird in-between seasons category - While I know they’re meant to be worn in the summer, I find that having a floor length dress gets a little too hot so I try to slip them in right as summer becomes fall! Luckily, summer has extended itself nicely into October this year so I’m happily sticking out like a sore thumb in a colorful maxi instead of wrapped in a beige scarf :)
