My outfits during the holiday season become all about classic red! While it's a beautiful color no matter what the season (especially if you're a Badger fan in Wisconsin!), it gets a little extra love during the holiday season. This year, I won't be attending any company holiday parties like I did last year, but that doesn't mean I love planning my holiday outfits any less! :) I always used to think that I needed a reason to dress up - that I needed a party to go to or a fancy job to dress up for where I wouldn't look out of place if I looked a little overdressed. Nowadays, I work in very casual environment but still dress up like I did when I worked in downtown Chicago - simply because it makes me happy! I've come to realize that how I dress is about how it makes me feel - not about whether it fits in the people around me or how they'll perceive me because of the way I dress. If dressing up a little more gives me confidence and makes me happy, that's all the reason I need. ♥
What are your favorite ways to dress up for the holiday season? I hope you all are enjoying the winter months and looking forward to the upcoming holidays!
Walking in a Winter Wonderland ✽

It snowed for the first time this past weekend and I couldn't resist taking a little stroll to take everything in. After the first snow of the season, it really does feel like I'm walking in a winter wonderland! ♥ While most of winter can be long, messy, and even dangerous at times, there is something so incredibly magical about a first snow. I think my absolute favorite part of a first snowfall is the way the snow sits on the trees - it's so peaceful. What are you favorite things about the winter months, especially the first snowfall? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
December Wish List!
Winter is not my forte. I pretty much shrivel at the sight of any form of ice, rain, or snow. Even though there might only be a couple of inches of snow on the ground, I'll bust out of my apartment looking like I'm ready to wrestle a polar bear in Antarctica (I can't take credit for this one - this is a real life comment someone has actually said to me during a winter in Chicago). You'd think that after 20 plus years living in Wisconsin, I'd be used to the cold by now… but nope.
On the flip side, however, I love all of the decorations, the glitter, and the sparkles that pop up during the winter months! I love how festive everything is and how it puts everyone in such a good mood! For me, all of the glittery decorations and fun songs around Christmastime are enough to outweigh the cold weather. My wish list for December reflects my mood during the winter months because it combines the need to stay warm with the love of all things glittery! Enjoy!
