When it comes to the world of clothing - a lot of times, I find myself in a rut of wearing the same combinations over and over again simply because they're safe. Running around trying to catch a bus in the mornings doesn't always leave enough time to be creative with wardrobe choices! I'm starting out a new habit of planning my outfits the Sunday night before each new workweek and this is one of layered combinations I came up with last week :) It's a contrast from my typical safe choices of sweaters and scarves but I am really loving how different it is!
If you're looking for ways to get out of a style rut, I think planning ahead of time always helps! I even purchased adorable fuzzy hangers and labeled each one with a day of the week so that I can hang each day's outfit on the corresponding hanger. It has really helped me be more creative because I can visually see each outfit hanging in front of me :) Do you pre-plan your outfits for the week? What has worked for you? Let me know in the comments!
February Wish List
I know it's only February and that I probably still have 2 months of winter coming my way but I can't help it! My wish list is all about channeling SPRING! The longer days mean my apartment is seeing sun, sun, and more sun - and if that's not a happiness boost, I don't know what is! This year, I might even try getting some more plants and making a really big effort to keep them alive. With my track record of killing even the simplest of plants, however, I'm going to need all the luck I can get! What's on your wish list this month? Leave me a comment - I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Between the warm weather (60 degrees!) and celebrating Valentine's day late - this weekend was packed with tons of fun for my boyfriend and I! He and I are both not the biggest fans of crowds so we opted to celebrate Valentine's Day a week late with a little staycation at a local hotel, a trip to the zoo, and last but not least, a massive raid of the post-Valentine's Day sale section at Target :) Now that is my definition of a good weekend!
Although the forecast is telling me that Madison will be back to its regularly scheduled winter weather in a matter of days, I'm secretly crossing my fingers hoping that the sixty degree weather will decide to stick around :) I hope your weekend was wonderful and thanks for reading! ♥
