This outfit made me so happy because it's just so crazy simple (and apparently my cat really liked the outfit, too!). All I did was throw on a sweater, a necklace, and my go-to jeggings. It's nice to be able to throw on a couple of pieces that are just as comfortable as my pajamas yet still look 10 times more put together.

I know sometimes it can be tough to care about whatI wear to work since I see the same people over and over, but I find that taking the time to really put myself together in the morning helps me feel more confident and productive! Realistically, however, I know that sometimes mornings can be rushed and I just don't have the time to craft an elaborate outfit so it's always wonderful to have some classically simple outfits like this one!

Boyfriend Sweater Cozy!

My cat always wants to get involved in my photoshoots so please excuse her little paws making an appearance in these photos!

Ok, admittedly, this sweater was actually from my brother - but brother sweater doesn't sound half as cute as boyfriend sweater ha! I love re-purposing clothes and making them work in my wardrobe when they would have gone into the "toss" bin for someone else. It truly is the definition of one man's trash is another man's treasure! This sweater shrank to the point that it became too small for my 6'3" brother - making it the perfect oversized sweater for a 5'6" me!

Sometimes, I can get caught up too easily in wanting to buy new clothes in order to follow a new trend when in reality, there are so many gems to be found just lying around in my closet (or my brother's!). Personal style is a way for you to express your own personality and creativity, whether that means a fancy brand name outfit or a simple dress-up of an old sweater, what really matters is how the outfit makes you feel!

Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now :)

I'm a homebody at heart so I love spending my weekends at home rejuvenating in my cozy apartment. Having nowhere to go for an entire day, however, can really hurt my productivity because I feel no motivation to do anything other than mosey around snacking! One way I've found to really gear up for my day even if I'm spending it mostly at home is to dress up a little bit - if only for myself and my boyfriend.

Just because you're spending a day at home doesn't mean you have to wear marshmallow sweatpants and sweatshirts all day right? (I'm guilty of this on many occasions) Sometimes, being dressed and ready for the day even encourages me to get things done at a local library or coffee shop instead, since I'm already dressed! While I'm not advocating for a full-face of make-up + ready-for-work outfit, I do think there is something to be said for dressing up at home. It makes me feel more confident and brings my energy level up.

On the weekends, I live in yoga pants, so instead of changing that, I like to let myself keep the comfy-ness of my trusty yoga pants while adding simple things I can throw on quickly like a flannel or cardigan. On top of that, headbands are awesome for dressing up an outfit without too much effort since they're easy to throw on and add just little bit of sparkle to an outfit.

How do you like to jazz up your at-home outfits?
