I'm packing for a little trip to the east coast next month and plan on bringing every fuzzy sweater I own - including this dusty green one! Winter is an absolutely brutal season for me. Even though I'm used to the weather because I've lived in the Midwest for all of my life, that doesn't mean that I hate the cold any less! Fuzzy sweaters make life a little more bearable because when the forecast says there's a -10 degree wind chill, all I truly want to wear is my onesie, and at least fuzzy sweaters are a little more socially acceptable :)

I might be a little late to the party on this one but I have been absolutely loving high-waisted jeans lately, mostly because I’ve finally found a way for high-waisted things to work with my body type! A lot of times, dressing for your body is almost exactly like putting on make-up. Instead of contouring or highlighting to balance out your facial features, you can use accessories and pieces of clothing to balance out your body! For my friends out there lacking in the bust department, I’ve found that combining high-waisted jeans plus a chunky blanket scarf does the trick 😃 What are your favorite ways to style high-waisted jeans? I’m new to the whole high-waisted game so I definitely need some ideas!

One of my favorite things about cooler weather is that it gives me the perfect excuse to go to the cutest, coziest little coffee shops and stay inside all day with my favorite chocolatey drink! Although I consider summer my favorite season, if I’m being perfectly honest with myself, I’m probably a much more effective human being in the colder months because I stay inside 24/7 and actually manage to get things done!

I’ve learned to appreciate over time the positive that each season brings. Instead of whining about the cooler weather like I did as a kid, I’ve grown to love how autumn brings so many gorgeous, rich colors and even the cooler weather gives me the opportunity to wear all of my big fluffy blanket scarves - so I really can’t complain! What are your favorite things about autumn?
