I never know what to wear in the fall. What if I get too hot in a sweater? What if it gets too chilly in a dress? Does this happen to anyone else?! Due to their versatility, maxi dresses have become one of my favorites for these transitioning summer-to-fall days! They're breezy enough that I don't worry about getting too hot, but when it starts to get chilly in the evenings, I can throw on a sweater and pretend my dress is a blanket :P // What are your favorite pieces for the summer to fall transition? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

If I had to pick one favorite flower, it'd have to be sunflowers! To me, they represent the purest form of happiness and as someone who is intensely affected by surroundings, being surrounded by a field of sunflowers is like heaven on earth. ♥ While I love fall as much as the next person, summer is by far my favorite season of the year. Nothing quite compares to all of the bright, happy colors that spring up in summer and life just seems to go by a little more slowly! Even though it's already September, I'll take as much of this last little bit of summer as I can get! ♥
P.S. If you're ever in the Madison area during the months of August & September, check out Pope Farm Conservatory for the happiest little sunflower field you've ever seen ♥ Thanks for reading!

It has been one of those months where I feel like I never have enough time to do anything! My work life, home life, blog life, and not to mention my applying-to-grad-school-life (help!) have really gotten the best of me and I feel like I’ve been dropping the ball in all areas 😔 Since I graduated college, I’ve really come to embrace time with friends and time alone as essential contributors to my well-being but during months like this, I struggle with choosing between sacrificing my performance at work for some much needed self-care!
One concept that has really helped me come to terms with the constant struggle that is work-life balance is trying to be the best version of myself I possibly can be. I’m human. I make mistakes, I’m not perfect, and I’ll never be able to do everything I want to do - but as long as I try my best that day to be the best version of myself I can be, that’s all I can really ask of myself! And I’m okay with that 😃
