FabFitFun is a quarterly subscription box that sends full-size versions of the seasons top fitness, fashion, beauty, and wellness products. Each box is about $50 if you subscribe month-to-month and slightly less if you select an annual subscription. While the FabFitFun box is not tailored specifically to each subscriber based on their preferences, I've found that subscription boxes that send the same products to all subscribers tend to select better products that they know everyone will enjoy.

Deux Lux: Demi Backpack - Retail $75.

As an annual subscriber, FabFitFun allows you to choose most of the products you'll receive rather than it being at random. For this box, they asked me to choose between the robe and this backpack and I just couldn’t decide! So, I caved and got both for an additional $10. Worth it :)

Products Mentioned:

Box Faves:

  • Deux Lu Backpack: As I mentioned before, I just couldn't pick between the backpack and the robe and I'm so glad I didn't. I have another small backpack that I've used to pieces so this one is going straight into my regular rotation!

  •  Show Me Your Mumu Robe: I have a fluffy, super warm bathrobe that has served me well for many years (think showering in a shared bathroom in my college dorm days - definitely don't miss that!), however, I've been on the lookout for a lighter robe that I can wear around the house. This robe is beautiful yet also super functional. My only gripe is that I wish it was a silkier material!

Box Flops:

  • S'well Water Bottle: I hate to say this because I'm obsessed with water bottles (weird, I know) but the S'well water bottle was just middle of the line for me. I think I was swayed to choose the bottle because of all the hype surrounding the S'well brand but I have a lot of water bottles that are comparable quality that are probably sold at a lower price point. I was also a bit disappointed in the design I received since S'well has some really unique patterns that I would definitely have preferred over a solid purple one!

I am always impressed by my FabFitFun boxes but this spring box was probably an all time fave. I loved nearly everything I received and all of the add-ons, too. They know how to get you!

How did you all feel about these products? Any other boxes you think I should try or you’d like to see me review? I’d love to hear from you!

How to Style a Wood Watch with JORD

Disclaimer: This blog post is in partnership with JORD. JORD kindly sent me a free watch for review. Opinions are 100% my own. Thank you for your support!

JORD14.jpg

Happy March, my friends! Today, I'm excited to be sharing with you how I style a wooden watch, in partnership with JORD! Wooden watches are so much fun to wear because they're such unique pieces that really can go well with just about anything. So without further ado, onto the watch-styling :)

Bright & Chunky

The neutral tones of a wooden watch really lend themselves to some bright pops of color! I have tons of chunky bracelets and they pair so nicely with the watch!

Boho Colors

If you want to keep it a little more down to earth, pairing the earthy tones of a wooden watch with oranges and deep greens give a nice boho style.

With a Scrunchie

I am a biiiiiig fan of scrunchies so naturally I've taken to pairing them with everything and anything (plus, they obviously double as a hair tie in hair-emergencies!). This watch looks lovely with muted tones.

JORD Watch Review:

I also wanted to give you all my honest review of the JORD watch I received, the Frankie watch in Koa and Ash. I am a big watch nerd (I have 5 in a regular rotation and another 5 sitting in my drawers waiting for new batteries - oops!) and even compared to my many existing watches, I’m really happy with the quality of my JORD watch. It’s clearly very well made and it really feels like a beautiful art piece rather than just a functional thing that I throw on in order to tell time.

Although it’s a definitely on the pricey side at $189, I think it would be a great gift idea, specifically for those that are hard to shop for! My partner is notoriously hard to shop for and I think a watch like this would be an amazing gift - something that’s very unique, well-made, and classic enough that they’ll be able to keep for a very long time. Plus, the watch comes with a cleaning cloth, a finishing oil, and extra links so you can take care of the watch over time and even adjust it as needed.

I’ve also teamed up with JORD to give one of my readers a $100 credit towards their own JORD watch! They’ve been a great brand to work with and have a really beautiful product that I’d love to share with you! To enter the giveaway, hit the link below - Good luck!

Hope your February was absolutely wonderful, my friends! I used to do a Month in Photos series every month and I really missed it so thought I'd bring it back in a somewhat new form to just review what's happened in life over the past month! It's really nice to be able to reflect and appreciate all that's happened whether that's through words, photos, or everything in between. I've always been a big proponent of keeping a journal, but sometimes life gets in the way  and reflecting through photos is just a tad easier :)

This past month was admittedly quite uneventful, but that's pretty on brand for me :P I'm a 100% homebody and honestly, if I haven't spent enough time at home, I really miss it! This month also began my 2nd semester of graduate school. I haven't taken much time to reflect on my graduate school journey over here on the blog, but if you'd like to hear more, let me know in the comments! It's been a journey to say the least. I feel slightly more confident this semester than I did the last, but the imposter syndrome is still present. I'm just trying my best to remember my little 2019 motto of impermanence - while I might feel overwhelmed and completely incompetent at times, it's an impermanent feeling and one that will inevitably pass as I learn and grow in this career.
